Rocking chair aerobics
Rocking chair aerobics is a form of exercise easy on the joints, yet effective. Excellently suited for the elderly, back pain patients, people with joint ailments, patients in wheelchairs and women who have recently given birth. Rocking chair aerobics is a comfortable and safe way to improve balance, muscle strength in the leg-, back- and abdominal muscles and increase joint mobility. The movements burden the respiratory and blood circulation systems in an appropriate way. It also decreases swelling in the legs. The effectiveness of rocking chair aerobics has been studied at the University of Kuopio and the Lahti University of Applied Sciences.
You can do rocking chair aerobics daily, e.g. 2 x 15 min/day.
